  • A phenomenon shared by all fields in academia is that seemingly unrelated questions can have profound connections. Problems which seemed unsolvable can be tackled using ideas which a priori seem to be completely unaligned with the original question. Examples will be given in architecture and physics where taking on new perspectives not only yields new insights but shifts whole paradigms.
