THE GREEN COLLEGE COMMUNITY:

RESIDENT MEMBERS

RESIDENT MEMBERS

Resident Members of the College have many opportunities to contribute to and shape the life of the community:

Resident Committees: As well as being able to volunteer for the College Standing Committees, whose membership consists of Faculty and Society Members in addition, residents also coordinate a variety of activities within the College through resident-run committees that are struck for particular purposes. Resident Committees re-form each year and their names and functions alter with the interests of successive groups of residents. See the Resident Committees page for a snapshot of the current committee line-up. The Residents' Council is formed each year based on these committees.

Members’ Series: Every week of the main academic session (September to April), the College hosts the Members’ Series as part of its publicly advertised academic programming. This series, which takes place at 8 pm on Mondays after dinner, is organized by residents to give members of the College the opportunity to share their research and interests with each other and with a wider public audience. Those interested in giving presentations in this series, either individually or in group-panels, are invited to consult the convenor.

Other Useful Information: See Living in Residence and GCDS Policies for a general overview of policies you should be aware of. You will find room and basic meal plan information, residence rates, and other helpful information to help prepare for life at the College in the Apply for Residence section.
