Clark Lundeen, Assistant Principal

Clark started work at Green College in September 2006, but has been working for UBC since 2001. As Assistant Principal, he is involved in all areas of the College including facilities, financial management, human resources, and residence life. He has an academic background with a Bachelor of Arts double major in Psychology and English from UBC, and a working background in the public sector with facilities and finance. His particular skillset is with strategy and change management. Clark’s interests are very broad, including music, digital media, urban planning and architecture, and the applied use of technology. A self-professed “jack of all trades,” polymath, or renaissance man, Clark enjoys the variety of work his position provides most, however most rewarding part of it is working with residents.

John currently manages both internal and external communications at Green College. Prior to joing Green College he managed communications at UBC's Faculty of Graduate Studies (2005-6) and College for Interdisciplinary Studies (2007-12), supporting students, faculty, staff, alumni and donors across and beyond UBC, and supporting the offices of Public Affairs, Vice-President Research and International, and President. He earned his professional communications accreditation (ABC) from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), and holds a Bachelor of Arts in English (University of Victoria), a Post-Graduate Diploma in Film and Television Production (UBC) and a Certificate in Multimedia Studies (UBC).  Prior to joining UBC, John worked as a web project manager, researcher/video producer, owner of a media company and freelance writer/publicist. He enjoys reading, writing, film, medieval history, architecture, culturally impactful ideas, and hiking.


Alan Gumboc, EventS AND PROGRAMMING Coordinator

Alan started at Green College in September 2008. He considers the benefits of his job to be the location, and food! He provides coordination for the planning and execution of academic programming and events, and is also responsible for catering and event venue bookings, and audio visual setup. He is the direct liaison with the Green College Dining Society on special dinners and catered events. Alan has worked at UBC for the past five years, having previously attended Langara College. Born and raised in Vancouver, Alan enjoys camping, movies and hockey.


Lyn Pedro, Membership and Accommodations COORDINATOR

Lyn joined Green College in September 2008. Her role is to manage and assist prospective, incoming, and current residents with matters related to their membership as well as guest accommodations specifically conference groups. She worked previously in aviation before starting at UBC. Lyn completed her Airport Operations Diploma at BCIT; she has numerous certificates in many disciplines from various post-secondary instructions. She completed the Mental Health First Aider at UBC and the UBC Intercultural Studies certificate. Away from work, Lyn enjoys time with her children, taking classes, volunteering and her main passion dance. You may even see her practicing her Argentinean Tango around the College.


Simone Goguen, Receptionist / Booking Clerk

Simone began working at Green College in August 1997. Her role at Front Desk Reception is to look after receiving payments for residence and meal plan fees, guest accommodations, and meal and event tickets for guests and the public. She also answers general public inquiries about the College. Her education background includes a Communications Diploma from Centennial College (Scarborough, ON) and several Customer Service/Hospitality courses from BCIT, UBC and the Vancouver School Board. Prior to working at UBC, she worked for eight years at CBC/Radio Canada Vancouver as French Music Records Assistant Librarian. Simone loves to sing with friends or a choir, and enjoys live theatre, European films, languages, cooking and crossword puzzles.

Lynda joined Green College in August 2011. Her role as Finance Assistant is to assist with the maintenance of College accounts, processing and reconciling financial transactions.
