    Seven Green College students volunteered at Lord Strathcona Elementary School in East Vancouver as part of UBC’s Community Learning Initiative TREK program, matching groups UBC students with elementary schools in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside neighbourhood, and helping with reading and writing lessons and tutoring students on a one-on-one basis.
HOW TO ATTEND DINNER

Guests are always welcome to join residents for dinner at the College, on all nights of the week except Fridays and Saturdays. Dinner is served in the Great Hall of Graham House, and the servery is open between 6:15 and 7:30pm. Dinner includes three courses with usually a meat or vegetarian option and coffee/tea/juice. Wine and beer may additionally be purchased with your dinner.  Note, however, that the kitchen cannot guarantee a full array of menu-choices for those who arrive after 7:15pm.

All guests who wish to dine at the College are required to make a reservation no later than noon on the business day before the day on which they want to dine.

On coming to the servery for dinner, you will be asked for the name your reservation was made under. Without prior reservation, we cannot guarantee that you will be served.

You may pay for your meal either by purchasing your meal at the servery counter, or by purchasing a dinner ticket from the Green College Office. Please note that meals purchased at the servery counter are cash-only. The cash price for dinner purchased at the servery counter is $20, or $17 if you are a registered student. Save $2 on ticket prices by purchasing them in advance at the Green College Office.

Dinner Tickets:
Dinner tickets are pre-paid dinners, valid for approximately one year from the date of purchase (expiry dates are printed on the ticket). They are available for purchase from the Green College Office, in person or by phone (604.822.8660), Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Payment can be made by cash, cheque, debit card, MasterCard or VISA (phone purchases via credit card only). Please note that dinner tickets are non-refundable.
