On the evening of 8 February 2012, Green College held one of its legendary coffee houses. The coffee house is a traditional event here at the college and a great opportunity for resident members to showcase their unique talents for the community. We had several different performers put on a wide variety of acts including folk singing, classical music, a four piece rock band, Greek and Mandarin pop songs, a traditional Bulgarian song, and an interactive poetry reading. Many of the audience members were amazed and delighted with the high level of artistic talent that went into this show.
Of course what's a coffee house without food and drink? Everyone enjoyed the hot chocolate, cookies, and (of course) coffee, that were graciously provided by the GCDS.
Here are some photos from show in case you missed it!
A special thanks to all of our performers: Danny Bakan, Janny Ke, Alexander Martin, Matthew Badali, Dan Brox, Dmitri Mordvinov, William Carlquist, Azadeh Hadizadeh, Kostadin Petrov, Zoe Lam, Karen Correia Da Silva, Michelle Dickie, and Ioannes Panagiotopoulos. Special thanks also go to Jessi Saunders for acting as master of ceremonies. A huge thank you to the GCDS for providing us with tasty food and drinks for the occasion. And, lastly, thanks go out to Danny Bakan, Alexander Martin, and Anita Prest for helping to organize the event.
Based on the success of this event and the excitement it has generated, many people have asked when they can expect the next one to take place. Well, we're hoping to see at least one more coffee house before the summer arrives!
