GC SOCIETY MEMBER FEATURED IN TIME
Former resident, Matthew Ruby, was featured in a Time article, “How Understanding Drug Addiction Can Motivate You to Exercise.”

Matthew Ruby, a psychology student and former resident of Green College, reached a much larger audience than most PhD candidates dream of earlier this week. A new study led by Matt was featured in the Time Healthland article, “How Understanding Drug Addiction Can Motivate You to Exercise” on Monday, Sept. 26, 2011.

Matt’s study, “The Invisible Benefits of Exercise” explores the reasons for a lack of motivation to exercise and suggests ways to conquer it. “My research into affective forecasting and exercise started in my time at Green College, and I have many fond memories of discussing and refining my research plans with other Greenies over dinner in the Great Hall,” says Matt. “For me, Green College truly was a place of ideas and friendship.”
